Bosch deepens its cooperation with Weichai in low-emission diesel engine technology
July 31, 2023
Bosch, a global leader in automotive technology and services, and Weichai Group, a leading automotive and equipment manufacturer in China, recently held a 10-year anniversary of strategic cooperation in Weifang. All along, both sides have been working hard to provide leading low-emission diesel engines for the Chinese market. For the implementation of the National IV emission standard, Weichai made it clear that the company will use electronically controlled high pressure common rail technology as its only four-phase technology solution.
In 1999, Bosch first matched the mechanical injector for the Weichai Steyr WD615 engine; in 2003, Weichai and Bosch formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement to launch the common-rail engine development and application project; in 2005, the two parties began to develop the matching engine of the National IV engine. In 2010, Weichai and Bosch focused on the future and jointly initiated the development of the Euro VI project. In the past 10 years, Weichai and Bosch have witnessed the technical progress of China's diesel engines. Both sides have continuously deepened cooperation and are committed to providing Chinese users with powerful, more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly diesel power products.
At present, Weichai has successively put into production several WP10, WP12, WP7 and other diesel engines that meet the national 3rd and 4th national emission standards to effectively meet market demand.
